For the Twelve Weeks team, the opportunity to work within a building of this significance was both a privilege and a responsibility.
Tasked during the quieter winter season, our team travelled north and lived on site for six weeks to deliver a full refurbishment of eight luxury guest suite bathrooms within the main house.
Working once again alongside Malcolm Duffin of Malcolm Duffin Design, the vision for the project beautifully balanced contemporary luxury with respect for the building’s character and history.
Sensational Italian porcelain tiles introduced distinction, texture and elevated luxury to each suite, while traditional roll-top baths, carefully selected fixtures and timeless detailing ensured every room retained the elegance and charm expected within a property of this stature.
The result feels both luxurious and authentic.

Delivering projects in remote Highland locations carries challenges beyond construction alone. Material logistics, transport coordination and waste management all required careful planning and execution. Large deliveries needed to be managed in real time and introduced carefully into the building while ensuring the hotel’s fabric, finishes and guest experience remained protected throughout.
Trust became a defining part of this project.
For six weeks, Allan lived on site and acted as keyholder for the property — experiencing first-hand the standards, care and operational trust required to successfully deliver within luxury hospitality environments.
It was a responsibility we carried with pride.
More importantly, this project helped shape the team culture that remains with Twelve Weeks today.
Working together away from home, solving challenges daily and delivering exceptional standards within extraordinary surroundings created bonds and working relationships that remain strong more than three years later.
