Our team combines thoughtful design with expert craftsmanship to create beautifully functional homes.
Allan Gray
Director
Before anything else — I’m a husband to Jennifer, and a dad to Georgia and Ella.
That’s what keeps me grounded, and it’s where I’ve learned the most about responsibility, patience, and being present.
The early mornings, the walks, the time spent together before the day begins — that’s the best part of my life, and it shapes how I approach everything else.
Professionally, I’ve spent over 25 years in property development and refurbishment.
Over that time, I’ve developed a strong eye for design and a solution-based approach to building — but more importantly, I’ve learned that the work isn’t just about delivering a finished product.
It’s about how you get there.
Clear thinking.
Honest conversations.
Doing the right thing when no one is watching.
I care about the detail.
I care about the experience for the client.
And I care about building something that stands the test of time.
At Twelve Weeks, we’re building more than projects.
We’re building something we’re proud to put our name to.

Growth & Strategy
The difference between a house and a home worth loving is not made on site. It is made long before — in the land I find, the concept I shape, and the right people I bring together around both.
That has been the focus of my career. After twenty-four years as a director with one of the UK’s largest privately owned homebuilders, working across land acquisition, engineering, and architecture, I came to understand something the industry rarely teaches: most of a project’s outcome is decided in the pre-construction phase. In the concept. In the design rigour. In who is brought to the table, and how early.
At Twelve Weeks, I apply that knowledge where it matters most. I find the sites others have passed over. I build the commercial and design case from the ground up. And I assemble collaborators who approach every project with the same conviction I do. For me, collaboration is not a professional courtesy — it is where the best work begins.
For my clients, that means working with someone who has lived every stage of development, from concept through to delivery. My instinct is always to resolve problems early, through thoughtful design and careful planning, before they become costs on site. As part of Twelve Weeks, I bring the experience, relationships, and perspective that help a young, ambitious practice deliver projects with confidence from the very beginning.
Chartered Civil Engineer. Homes professional. Collaboration first.
A quieter kind of ambition — backed by decades of experience.
Verity McGown
Business Manager
In a business with big personalities and constant movement, my role is to bring structure, clarity, and a bit of calm to the day-to-day.
I’m the one making sure Allan, Gary and Paul stay on track. Keeping things organised. Keeping things moving. And, more often than not, keeping everyone in line.
Professionally, I oversee the running of the business and everything that comes with it. From internal coordination to communication, I make sure the details are handled and nothing slips through the cracks.
But my role goes beyond operations. I lead all things marketing for Twelve Weeks shaping how we present ourselves, how we communicate, and how our work is seen. From content to brand direction, I make sure what people see reflects the standard of what we deliver.
I believe the strength of a business is in how it operates behind the scenes. Clear communication. Consistency. Attention to detail.
At Twelve Weeks, I make sure everything connects — the people, the projects, and the brand. Because when that works, everything else falls into place.
Paul Glancy
Project Manager
For me, the craft came first. I trained as a Carpenter Joiner, with a background in furniture production and antique restoration that taught me something most site managers never fully learn: what quality actually looks and feels like when it’s done properly.
From that foundation, I moved quickly into management. Over the past fourteen years, working with Taylor Wimpey, Bellway, Ogilvie Homes, and A.C. Whyte, I’ve delivered projects across volume housebuilding, commercial developments, and everything in between. I’ve built the basic and the bespoke, and I know the difference.
On site, I aim to be the calm in the room. Clear-headed under pressure, quick to find a solution, and genuinely invested in the people around me. I lead teams the way I learned the trade — directly, with trust, and to a standard I’d be proud to put my name to.
Away from work, I’m a father to Ava and Lucas, engaged to Rebecca, and football coach for my son’s team. I’m a product of the East Coast of Scotland, shaped by its construction culture and everything it teaches about honesty, perspective, and getting on with it.
At Twelve Weeks, I’m where conviction meets delivery.
